plant-FORWARD

We recently updated our menu which includes new vegan sauces, new plant-based proteins and 100% vegan cakes!

With these latest additions, The Athenian's menu is 75% plant-based, underscoring our commitment to becoming a plant-forward brand.

While we will continue to serve chicken, pork, and halloumi, our product development will be focused on plant-based proteins and sauces that offer the same bold, satisfying flavours & nutrition as animal-based offerings.

 

ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT

The decision to shift towards a more plant-forward menu is driven by The Athenian’s desire to reduce its CO2 emissions & environmental impact.

All packaging is biodegradable and we don’t stock single use plastic. Our hope is that by reducing our dependence on animal products, it can have a positive impact on our CO2 output.

Environmental indicators show that plant based foods produce 76% less CO2 emissions compared to the production of meat products.
