As a company we aspire to progressive and open values. A recent visit to Stockholm showed us a preview of a cashless world. Sweden has always been at the forefront of progress and innovation in the world stage, and this was no exception.

It is fast becoming normal for businesses to only accept cards, moving one step closer towards a cashless society.

A recent study has shown that nearly three quarters of Londoners believed virtual money would replace notes and coins by 2036.

London is one of the greatest cities in the world, and has always been a force for tolerance, progress and innovation, therefore we couldn’t believe that there’s only a tiny minority of businesses that have gone cashless. We made the brave decision to go ahead across all our locations including in Bristol.

We had a transitional period were our customers would get used to the idea, and we implemented a fully cashless system in December 2017. A cashless operation has allowed us to provide a faster and more efficient service.

The vast majority of our customers have embraced it as it’s more convenient for them, since it eliminates the need to carry cash with them as well as our team who no longer have to count pennies and take them daily to the bank!
